Jones reviews Rovers friendly
Dave Jones says his Owls side are making steady progress as their pre-season preparations continue for the 2012/13 Championship campaign.
Wednesday and Doncaster fought out a goalless draw at the Keepmoat on Saturday and although there were no goals, it was Wednesday who could and perhaps should have won the game.
Jones said: “We were good in possession and created plenty of chances and on another day it would have been a comfortable win but I thought we were a little bit tired, a little jaded and we could have been a little more sharp in front of goal.
“But having said that, Doncaster had only one real chance in the game and Chris Kirkland made a super save to keep that one out.
“And it was great to see our travelling fans back in their numbers, they really do make a difference and I can tell them that this season we will be giving it a really good go.”
