Plenty of positives

16 February 2017

Wednesday head to Nottingham Forest on Saturday in superb form after three wins from three in February.

Head coach Carlos Carvalhal says that confidence in the camp is naturally high given the successes of the past few games, with the Owls collecting nine points from a possible nine.

Digging a little deeper, the Owls have won nine of their last 14, losing just two and keeping eight clean sheets in that time.

Carlos said: “We are in a good way, winning points and in a good position.

“I just have reasons to be very, very happy with my team, with the club, with the fans, understanding we are in a good way to achieve more victories.

“We are playing again after a short time, we win the last three and this is something very positive.

“But the most important to me is to focus on the next game.”

A trip to Nottingham Forest is next for Wednesday.

The Reds have lost their last two outings on the road and sit 17th in the Championship but have won their previous three home games.

Expecting another tough test, Carlos continued: “Victories give confidence to all the teams in the world but now we live with the present and that is Nottingham forest.

“They are not an easy team to play against, it will be a very interesting game.

“It will be a very hard game for sure especially at their home, but they will play against a strong team with big confidence.”
